Japanese Style Miso Grilled Tofu
It’s a Japanese-style home dish in which miso is lightly coated and grilled to speckle and release its aroma.
Ingredients
1 piece of tofu
Japanese “miso” sauce
peanuts
Directions
- Cut the tofu into rectangular, 0.7 cm thick slices and string them with a metal skewer.
- Grill the tofu skewers on the fire, and turn them over at any time. When the surface of the tofu is slightly dry, brush with “miso” sauce, continue to grill, add peanuts, and wait until the tofu slices are roasted until brown, and then transfer to serve.
Notes
- The Japanese style of grilled is to spread the sauce thickly on the surface and grill until the sauce is dry and sticky, retaining the original taste of the ingredients and the sweetness of the miso. The overall taste is refreshing, salty and sweet, and not greasy.
