About Daniel

I was born in Taiwan, known as the beautiful Formosa. While everything around me felt familiar, I realized I wasn’t truly acquainted with it. In 2014, I ventured to Sydney, Australia, seeking a slower pace of life and discovering the beauty of simplicity.

During this time, I came to understand that work is just one aspect of life, and finding happiness and love is a lifelong pursuit.

In 2015, I arrived in Shanghai, China, where the fast-paced work environment caused me to overlook the simple pleasures in life. It was a turning point when an incident reminded me of the disappointing food I had mentioned earlier. To my dismay, I realized I couldn’t even recreate the flavors of my hometown dishes, which deeply saddened me.

This experience led me to a decision: to embark on a culinary journey. My first goal was to rediscover the authentic taste of my beloved hometown cuisine. It was during this exploration that I discovered Taiwan’s remarkable culinary heritage. It truly is a food kingdom, brimming with countless recipes that left me in awe, waiting to be explored and mastered.

Motivated by my desire to reconnect with my roots and share the traditional flavors that shaped my childhood, I began my culinary adventure. Through my cookbook website, I aim to introduce the vibrant and diverse cuisine of Taiwan to food enthusiasts worldwide. It brings me great joy to share these recipes and celebrate the culture and heritage woven into each dish.
