I LOVE this Best Mulled Red Wine so much! This is the perfect Christmas drink! A cup of tasty & hot mulled red wine will give your frozen body warm back 🙂

In winter, I like drinking all kinds of hot liquids. Hot bowls of soup, hot cups of tea and – a classic – a cup of hot spiced Best Mulled Red Wine.

Making Best Mulled Red Wine is SO quick and easy, and if you make it yourself, you can control the amount of sugar and alcohol.

I’m used to watering down the wine and we use the 1:0.5 ratio (1 portion wine to 0.5 portion of water). You could skip the water to get a stronger Mulled Red Wine, but I like it this way.

You can twist this basic Best Mulled Red Wine recipe and add different holiday spices. Or why not add other kinds of fruits in there, like cranberries and twist the mulled red wine into a Christmas Punch.

The BEST Mulled Red Wine recipe ever! So classic, popular and SO delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2-bottle of red wine

  • 1 bottle of water

  • 1 tbs rock sugar

  • 1 ts vanilla essence

  • 2 organic orange

  • 2 apple

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • few anise

  • few cloves

Directions

  • Wash and dry the fruits. Cut orange into slices, cut apple into dices.
  • Put a pot on stove, add, anise, cloves, cinnamon stick, and all fruits, pour in the wine and water, and slowly bring to a boil.
  • When the wine comes to a boil, bring the temperature down to a light simmer and let it cook for another 5 minutes, then add the rock sugar, stirring occasionally to melt the sugar.
  • The wine should never boil vigorously, but gently. The longer you boil the wine, the less alcohol it will contain.
  • Serve hot in glasses or cups, decorated with orange slices.
